Interstitial eosinophils

Interstitial eosinophils

This refers to eosinophils coursing between separated collagen bundles in the dermis. There may be associated perivascular eosinophils as well. I usually consider insect bite, urticaria and pre bullous pemphigoid when I see this clue

But it is also a feature of other parasite infestations, Toxic erythema of pregnancy, Dermal hypersensitivity (whatever that really means!), drug reactions and Well's or Hypereosinophilic syndromes.
